So I discovered this when messing around with subframe ARAY and discovered that for some reason subrame-created BRAY has problems being displayed when erasedd so that the life is random in the rays. Up to you if you call it a bug or feature.

fps cap?
-
Those who get exactly 60 FPS probably forgot to remove the FPS cap.

Bro what do you get? i have a 2.5 ghz core i5 with turbo boost up to 3.2 ghz and still only get 60 fps on a blank page.

What @finnandjake said. bray2 is a type of ray that has a life value of either 1 or 2. With 2 it's brighter, with 1 it's darker. That means that in a frame either of two things happen: your bray2 has its life decreased to 1 and its shade darkened (bright->dark), or it dies due to its life being decreased to 0 and a new bray2 takes its place with a life value of 2 (dark->bright).

this is cool

sentinal how on earth do you even get 40fps on a _blank_ screen? xD you really need to upgrade your pc or just the cpu if you have a desktop pc
-
try deleting the bray and reloading, this seems to xi all problems
