    If ambient heat is on, the explosion also ends up bursting the roof of the base open and setting the majority of the city on fire. Without it, there's just a puddle of near max temp lava just sitting on the floor.

    If the casing for the neutron chamber is broken, it causes the plutonium to violently explode and likely kill everyone in the base.
