So I guess it's finally that time when subframe has become known and is widely used. As FuriousWeasel would say, "I like it!". The purpose of this save is to clear up at least a few questions about subframe. *** Updated logos.

Subframe is a terrible thing to call it. The term has been around forever, but none of this stuff falls into what it is.

How does any of those arguments make the usage of the word "subframe" invalid? It refers to the nature of particle interactions, not the time it takes something to happen.

The orange BRAY can't be stacked. Nothing can be stacked because nothing can be faster than a frame. The orange BRAY has 3 states, so to speak. There's a life of 2 when it's bright, a life of 1 where it's dark, and a life of 0 when it simply doesn't exist. What this CONV+metal thing is not much other than a complicated battery. For the BRAY, all it does is spawn another line of BRAY when the previous line disappears.

    A frame is a frame, you can't say it's only a half

We call it subframe because we get to order particle interactions around with finer precision than a whole frame. In other words, "a lot can happen in a frame".

It's not just a cool term. It means that stuff we build relies on side effects of already evaluated particles being visible to not yet evaluated particles. That means that we can get a DTEC to detect a BRAY in the same frame the ARAY shot it *if* we arrange it so that the ARAY is evaluated before the DTEC. All that requires is placing the ARAY above the DTEC on screen, since evaluation order depends on position.

I'm not quite sure what subframe actually is. Nothing in the game can go faster than a frame, bercause that's the fastest point the game can run. If I run the game with a blank space on nothing display, I can reach +800 FPS, and still nothing will go faster than a frame. Is subframe just some cool term you guys made up?
