    I will be out of commission for a month. I will be in a hard collar for 2 weeks and a soft collar for 2 weeks after that. then I will be on "light duty" for 2-3 months at least. no heavy lifting, which chomps plans for hiking/camping this summer. maybe I can go on a day hike or two in the fall.

    I will be around, my productivity will be low and I might not make sense once in a while. "down" is a reference to a broken machine.
