Ooohhhh omg that would be so much simpler lol. I was actually thinking of sending messages that because our species didn't understand each other would basically be videos of water and gases in bottles and being put ovens to bake cakes and make fuel lol.

tbf that wouldn't even matter, the satellites can happily make maneuvers to put themselves on these 3d paths, e.g 'above' or 'below' the Sun if represented in 2d, so no matter what direction you have to broadcast there wil always be a window where I can intercept them, as I can maneuver them on the eliptical plane :)
