  I begin building a larger land based military force and researching more powerful weapons for them, particularly long range fire and forget weapons, including computer stabilised rounds to hit the target 99% of the time

  If TheLongGuy continues to act towards killing the aliens I (And I belive the rest of the UPE) will act quickly to stop it, and take actions againt his land but not neccessarily war actions. I reinforce New Zealnand with 1 batallion of mechanized infanry and bring all other forces back home to regroup and retrain.

  As for Cupiditas and her hive, they may have originated as Etrurians, but rest assured they are not. The grotesque modifications that have been introduced into their gene pool make them barely recognizable by any Republic citizen.
