    I send a ship to the Mysterious Object 2. They sail on the coast of the island I am colonizing for food, and then go to the object and live on fish while studying it.

    While forging iron, one of my smiths accidently drops some coal powder and ash in the vat of molten iron. The resulting alloy is much stronger and more durable than iron, and I call it "steel"

    I again rush the next tech. This should only work up to this point, since the discovery of iron was pretty fast. (throw a wierd rock into a huge fire, come back the next day.)
