    It's kind of hard to demonstrate the shock, since spark moves at a constant speed.

    He couldn't realisticly put a hypersonic object in there it would be on screen for 2 pulses

    it's good, but your "supersonic" shock is actually transonic and your "hypersonic" shock is actually supersonic. the hypersonic object should be moving about five times the speed of the one currently marked as "supersonic"
