We are back, refurbished and with new ideas. Read all of our old discussion on the forum under a topic called Evolution in a video game! Anyways the main plan is to create small bots that eat to survive, reproduce, and then change (genes). Check list.

so right now I'd say that in the case of self contained bots, using gas movement for controls is a dead end.

I've tried implementing that. using invs was promising, but it starts disappearing when the bot moves.

So the checklist part with my gene module should NOT be checked off. And could someone please FINALLY add my gene bot that actually works to the homepage, as I've been asking since the 30th of December.

Guys, the gas gene thing is NOT complete, because Karakanlud's bot does NOT change its movements with different gasses. The gas in Karakanlud's bot doesn't even affect it at all. Replacing it with any other material, even water, makes it move the exact same. Could you instead link the gas bot that I made, which actually works?

Also that would be quite useful: the brain functions and genome would use the same gas core, and it would have a normal gravity pattern moving the gas particles in it. When it reaches a wall, it would simply send the controlling particle to the proper place

Oh, I thought you used the design using gravity

No, they float to the top and stay there.

umm, they can basically move in every liquid :D
