    I launch a massive wave of 16 nukes towards Mars, and begin redirecting 17 large asteroids to impact Phobos on the prograde-facing side, pushing it retrograde and deorbiting it into Mars. A similar process will be used to deorbit Deimos.

    I begin building an Orion pulse drive in orbit. It will launch an interstellar probe that will reach Barnard's star in 400 years, and then use a solar sail to slow down. The goal is to make our first contact with an alien species. If we develop EM drives, we could cut the travel time in half.
