On the assumption that we're using equally advanced technology to fight this thing, my solution would be to travel to another universe, locate or create the heaviest black hole available (if necessary, one might for instance collapse the trillion stars of Andromeda into a singularity), then transfer said black hole into this universe, placing it inside the control-field mechanism itself.

IF you can deactivate the control field, the Entropy has no chance of survival. Otherwise, it is unstoppable (if I've understood the control field correctly, it could collapse you into a singularity, disperse your atoms across the universe, or rearrange your subatomic particles to turn you into, say, a vase of flowers)

@Shuddarun, killing this thing is (tactically speaking, at least) pretty simple, though technologically challenge. You have exactly one option - disable the control field before it turns you into...well, whatever it wants ("Oh no, not again!").

Scifi is great, but "Poof! My enemies are dead now! My dog magically turns purple in victory!" is not fun.
-
Also, how does this generate/use/manage the control field?
-
Sentinal: I understand. Not interacting with other matter except by way of gravity.
-
Woah. Just woah.

:O this is amazing

@sentinal-5 It was going to be about 1 AU, but I messed up calculating the length and decided to roll with it. This basically runs on magic. The Control Field allows it to control the location and nature of mass/energy. Using this, it can lock the matter in its hull relative to it, making it effectivly one object.
