We are the SFPI, we are searching for mechanical life that can detect danger and think. essentialy basic AI. Our end goal is to make one that can replicate and change, so it will """evolve"""

Just an old time player visiting Powder Toy once again. I have to say, the technology here has really advanced since I was gone. What exactly are we supposed to do here? I'm interested in the mechanics of evolution.

Ferucil, we did do that. The phot burned the plnt, and it was vey messy and sometimes killed the robot.

since plants alter the color of photons to be a certain color, why not just build a photon radar system, and use FILT set to accept a certain color to block out any regular photons, and if it detects a green photon from a certain direction, it will move towards it.

For now I'll be doing my own independent experiments with neural networks. Good luck.

Well, the main problem occurs when two detectors fire at once.

you need to cut off the input from the brain when it detects plant, cos the detector is making it move one way, but the brain is still random, which is tearing it apart

and about the buffer not fitting. look at my randomizer in subject 2. it never outputs two at once. but you would still need a way to buffer dect inputs...
