The Longinus is a 22 m l/12 electromagnetic mass driver, firing projectiles at 90 km/s. Projectiles utilize basic shield technology avoid atmosphereic friction. Only one of these cannons survived the Imperium's fall, and is now an icon of their military.

    Also, the fact that this is ground based is...unrealistic. At that speed, the atmosphere around the shell would ignite, and kill everyone aorund the firing location

    I believe you have miscalculated the size of the shells. Those look pore like 20-30 meter shells
