Reentry typically lasts about 12 minutes. The command pod is completely obliterated by the 40 second mark, with the electronics running. Without the electronics, it made it to 1 minute and 20 seconds before the insides were completely melted. This pod wouldn't survive reentry.

Well you can still burn up with it. It just depends on how fast you are moving. I'm sure if you intercepted Kerbin from orbit of Kerbol, and went straight towards Kerbin, you would burn up. I think so, anyways.

@TD23ASUS I know MK2 is more aerodynamic,but if you use stock mods, it is reentry proof, witch is not realisitic, TPT is realistic, so i have to make the heat sheld really fat.
