    For your Sling Class idea, rop, why not have it be an outer ring that hyperaccellerates a smaller inner section? You could have several of them set up in the galaxy, kind of like the secondary mass relays from Mass Effect.

    quiver class carrier: the size of the warhammer battleship, holds dozens of gladius, and serves as a mobile docking point for frigates and cruisers. Midling armmnet, but can serve as an entire ship building facility

    ida: Sling class ship (arc) its a two part unit: a large hull-like object, which has an orion drive on the back, so when it is ignited, it goes away from the rest of the ship ver quickly, with a set of pdf guns on the side, allowing it to shoot down escorts. Main use is damaging huge ships. The rest of the ship is a ring that contains the crew and other support stuff, designed more or less to fall away and get another one

    Still, you're right. To have a bigger gun, you usually need a bigger ship.

    Just saying guys, fairly small planes have had ridiculously large guns and still worked. I think there was one plane that had a 75 mm cannon on it, the A-10 Thunderbolt II has a 30 mm gatling gun, and the AC-130 gunship has a 105 mm Howitzer cannon.

    Nice. What is it going to have inside? I'm gonna sleep soon, but tomorrow I will come back. Perhaps making part of it on TPTMP would be a good idea.
