    also it has to have at least on bit set otherwise it would be colorless.

    FILT holds 30 bits, however, newly drawn FILT with no properties set will deliver 5 high bits in the blue range when you pass PHOT or BRAY thru it. So those of us who use FILT storage have learned to use one bit as the formated or null state of the filter and then dont use that bit for anything else. leaving 29 bits to play with.
