    peridoot: 29 bits was ideal because at the time this save was released powder toy did not have the right processing power which would more bitbucket limitation the more bits you add, 29 was the most you could have before the bitbucket limitation became too much. but as of now you can have up to 254 bits before bitbucket limitation becomes a problem.
