  You could make the mines square shaped so you don't need to remove the case, wasting a lot of time. That means that you could make the forcefield 2 pixels thick so it actually adds some protection. A mechanism that automatically arms the mines (or allows you to arm them) when the shields are up would also be useful.

  mines aren't that powerful, just BOMB. also, they leak deut sometimes, and explode if extended too fast
