Using the new update, it is now possible to simulate life. This can do all the functions required for something to be living. Although technically this is not life because it is just in a game.

    It can do all of those things except breathe (which isn't actually required to be living) try putting caustic gas nearby, or feeding it salt. Also, look at is closely, it does move.

    It's not life: Okay, it CAN reproduce itself, but it cannot breath, cannot eat, and cannot move (Replication doesn't count as moving). And it hasn't the ability to react to something it "sees" or "hears". So, it is just a senseless, replicating thing ;-)
