Since nobody reads these things, just look at the explanation in the actual simulation. And please POLITELY correct me if I'm wrong, okay. I'm only 12 years old.

XD we just said exactly the same thing, but he worded it better

@johnnycash227 A: light is technically not energy, it is released in the presence of energy such as heat, and has the capacity to store energy. this is why for simplicity's sake, it is called energy. B: you can't occupy the same space as light. if you could, we wouldn't have shadows, eyes would not percieve anything and lenses wouldn't work.

@jonnycash227 Photons pass through materials. Seriously. Materials that they cannot pass through, even at some frequencies (i.e. "cannot occupy the same space as") are considered opaque. I researched it and found many very nice articles online explaining that yes, photons carry energy (they are not energy) and they are subatomic particles that make up light as we know it.

Subatomic particles move in a wave. i knew that. but even still, light is made of energy, just like heat, or sound. therefore, if light were made of photons, you couldn't occupy the same space as light. or heat. and since you can, light is not made of photons.
