The BRAIN by msasterisk
It's a real brain. Ish. It begins with random pulses, and when a neuron is pulsed it lowers its likelyhood of being "off", making even more pulses come through, and so on. It slowly forms a sort of "personality" around what it learns. More desc in level!

In this scene things are more randomized indeed but we don't have much of a way to analyze if any useful behaviours or 'mental states' are being developed from the PHOT stimulus. -
Schmolendevice 16th Jul 2014I just remembered an experiment done with rat neurons which were connected to a robot circuit that fed in digital data from a CDD and had terminals for the rat brain to output to some motors. In time the brain adapted to the new kind of digital input and was able to navigate around a table without falling off.
