What is the point of sending a conscience back in time if it can't interact with anything?

And, according to the RP, 1 day would equal 1 month (Did i write it correctly?) So aproximately the machine took 2 years to have a stable prototype.

Neutron stars are like a nuclear power plants once starting mining. Neutronium is used for making energy and then energy is transported on neutronium batteries. Lets say that the machine needs the total amount of batteries generated in the lifetime of a neutron star until the Neutronium is over.

They would probably be white. I am fairly sure color comes from photons interacting with the outer electron shells of atoms. Neutron stars have very few electrons, so the light would just reflect back.
