    For now we will have time to prepare for mayor wars. But in 10 years (1 day in-game) but RCA wont take too much time to make a way to disable the shields. And yes, i took my cautions, so the shield also dissables any type of radar transmission. The shields cant be hacked, and he cant see our messages and plans.

    The shield generators are inside the galaxy, so lets say, that the shield is practically indestructable.
