There is a legend that all the rejected copies of E.T. ended up in a dump in mexico. Acccording to this legend, the people there loved it, and hacked it to make it better... -

@robo: Mario and DK are still going strong as a nintendo cornerstone series that were released BEFORE metroid. Mario never died and is still going now. Legend of ZELDA is still going as a cornerstone and was released before metroid thank you very much. -

If you take off the COAL it looks a lot better. Excellent if not pixel-perfect graphics.
