I didnt read that because it was too long
oh wow! if you do a 3d model please try and send me images of it somehow! i really want to see a good one! (all the ones i could find on google were either stylised, RUBBISH, or had ridiculously massive jaws. i will love you forever if you can send me pics! by the way, if you have read the prequels as well, i would highly suggest you get hold of 'the traction codex' if you can. i got it on kindle yesterday evening and was up until 2 o clock reading through it! it has no story whatsoever, but consists intirely of mortal engines lore! it goes over almost every aspect of the world and covers the entirety of ME history! oh, it's also hilarious... the city of sydney 'wears it's famous spiked opera house on it's top tier at a jaunty angle and hangs giant cork fenders around it's upperworks to keep away airships'.
awesome! i just finished the series, and was thinking about 3d modeling a traction city. this is great work, im going to be playing with this one for a while. great creation! +1
ccccccccooooool build bro, great work!
i suggest you buy the book 'the traction codex' if you are interested in mortal engines. it is REALLY cool and utterly hilarious if you have already read the stories.
@scrin in this world, we HAD that technology, but then we had a nuclear war. all the weapons where so advanced that it only took 60 minuits for civilisation to be entirely destroyed. the few survivors lived off canned food they dug up from the wreckage and food they found on plants which sprouted. they also dug up our technology which they called 'Old-Tech', they did not understand most of it, but they based a large part of their technology of what they could understand of ours. the first moving fortresses and caravans were used purely to escape the century old earthquakes caused by the sheer power of the bombs but the idea stuck and they got bigger and bigger. they used to use guns to destroy each other, but decided instead on the system of municipal darwinism (turn your sword into a rake, then strap it onto your city and use it to eat other cicies.) after a long time, the big cities had eaten all the smaller ones and there was no fuel left. they all slowly ground to a halt and by that time, we DID have anti gravity technology. so they lived in the same way as us (the ancients) only much more environmentally freindly thanks to the left over technology of solar panels and wind turbines. there, a brief history of tractionsim.
15000 years?! by then we whould have intersteller travel and FTL! we will have colonized even venus by then!
