This is The Sphinx, an anti-fighter ship used by the Alliance, It is used to provide anti-fighter support for larger ships, and can be used as an escort ship. it is 555 metres long.

    This is probably the case with any emp bomb, but when i set mine off every defense shut off, as well as the engines and reactor.
