This is very fast Langton's ant simulator which draws cells as pixels. It just needs 9 frames/cell. If you let it run half an hour or so, you will see the typical "ant street" to the upper right corner of the box.

200 fps. Nice.

Yeah, I looked up what Langston's Ant is supposed to do... this just makes a constant 2x2 square. The ant isn't really supposed to do that...
-
So what does it- wait wait wait, let it run for a half hour or so? Could the save be updated to skip to that point please?

Just resplace the 1000 with a 60.
-
How do you get the regular fps cap back?
-
More than 80 fps! +1

btw: Thanks for frontpage!

Best langton's ant in TPT!! +1

@PTuniverse: It works for me... I think it has something to do with wifi, on my TPT there is a 1 frame delay between sending and receiving.@pds3-14: It would be a bit complicated because you have to check every pixel on a frame (==> slower than a cell-version, which I already made: id:869504 and you have to check every pixel around the currently processed one, to decide whether the pixel should be on or off.@12321: does it work for you?

Doesn't work? Would be pretty cool if you could make it work.
