    THEY NEVER PREDICTED that the world would end, its just an end of one of their calendar baktuns (years). The only people who said the world would END on that date are modern idiots

    Not like the planet hasnt taken a hit from a 3 mile one before. one happened around 212 million years ago. for scale, the dinosaur killer was atleast a 6 mile one, 65 million years ago.

    However, this is pretty much a non important thing due to the fact that the big one isnt likely to hit us in the next 6 centuries.

    It was two meteors, one was 3 miles and was 4.3 million miles away, the other a really tiny one that was 1.4 million miles away.
