Is there an x64 version of tpt?

Do you have a x64 version of the powder toy? The one i have now downloaded is a 32 bit. My system uses 64 bit windows and it is 64 bit as well.

There is no 64 bit windows version. Not sure I would be comfortable making that official without site access. There is a mod that adds it, but I recommend not worrying about it. It's not noticeably faster at all

Is TPT going to use multiple cores in the future? It feels bad never being able to see what a big DEUT explosion looks like at over 3fps.

Yes, one of my priorities is moving certain things into other threads. I don't know if DEUT explosions would be one though, that is much more difficult, and I have some easier things in mind.

Why would you take parts of the code and have them communicate between threads? That's a really bad design flaw that's going to hurt you later.

What if you have update scripts running in one thread, putting out all data into a certain format and having that data be interpreted by the other thread, instead of making lots of individual wires connect everything?

    hope it helps

I didn't even mention anything about implementation in my post, so i'm not sure where this is coming from

The multithreaded ideas I had in mind to do first are air simulation, graphics, and sdl rendering (double size mode rendering). All three of these take a lot of time, and are all things that don't need to communicate much at all with anything else while they run. So your comment doesn't really apply to these. The air simulation is actually designed to be multithreaded already, it just isn't.
