Prot+Deut reaction uses

Hi, so I built what I believe is the first reactor using prot+deut reactions to produce power, Search my name in TPT and you'll find it as my most upvoted save. Seeing as this particular kind of reaction is my main area of expertise I'd like to explain a variety of uses for this kind of reaction:

*Bombs: Protons penetrate all substances except diamond insulation and perhaps a few others, so if you can heat up the protons via reacting them with highly compressed deuterium you've made a highly effective weapon of mass destruction that very few things can stop. (It literally melts everything!)

*Reactors: Reacting highly compressed deuterium with protons makes the protons temperature about 8.5k degrees C, so it is VERY effective at producing heat, however containment can be an issue if you are a purist and try to build a reactor out of no insulation, diamond, or walls. Filters work great as heat conduits for the protons, just remember to cap it at your heat output point or else you will have a proton leak.

*Mining: There are several methods to use this process in mining, First and formost is to simply create a shaped charge out of highly compressed deuterium surrounded by insulation, this melts the elements in the ground and makes the heavy elements drop to the bottom and the light elements rise to the top, if you figure out a filtration system this method of mining can be much faster than any other method. The second method is to gradually melt a layer of elements by concentrating hot protons on one area making it rise to the top, which requires that not too many impurities are in the deposit or else you will just get a mix.

Finally, a note on how I discovered the reaction: I discovered the reaction when messing around with a dam save with a chamber of highly compressed deuterium, I threw some protons in and everything melted. I do not know if I am the person who discovered the reaction first (Besides the devs), but if I am then hell frickin yeah! Anyways, be sure to link saves you make using this type of reaction and post them here, and if this helps you in any way please be sure to check out a few of my saves by searching my name in TPT. :D

Since PROT came out. DEUT was around for quite a long time, originally it only reacted with NEUT (since it was just NEUT and PHOT in terms of energy particles)
