Console Area Selection

I think that there should be some way to select only a part of the simulation area to alter with the console, like maybe a key you press, then select an area, then the console will pop up and you can change the properties of this area without changing your logo or anything else you don't want to change.

    ADDITION:
I also think it would be better if there was some kind of report on a selected area, like it would tell you the maximums and minimums of all of the properties and give the number of each existent particle in that area. This would allow you to , for example, if you were the judge of a competition, and the rules say no thunder, you run a report on the entire save, and it would tell you if it has any thunder. It would also help get rid of any stray particles.

    1) Go into debug, hover over the pixels you want. They'll have numbers. Type those into the console.
    2) Or, set type thdr none

So what would you do if you wanted to know how many deut particles there are on the screen, or maybe see what the hottest part of you nuclear reactor is??
(Sorry if I seem a little defensive, but I DO think these ideas through before I post them)

{t} in a sign will display temperature.
Why on earth would you want to count DEUT particles?

    It was an example.
It might be useful if used on all of the saves so you can see if someone was just spamming with thunder or some other lag-producing element before you load it on your cheap laptop (like mine) and crash your computer. Has happened with a deut super-duper bomb before, and in this case, you can't tell just from the little preview.

it would be pretty handy to be able to select an area and have the console only work on that area, but tbh it might be a bit complex to program.

Was it this that crashed your computer:

Anyways that would be really useful. In powder game they have a menu that shows how many of each particle is on the screen.
