Holding down the R key

I think it would be nice if we could hold down the R key while placing an element.

I'm thinking that you could hold down R and have it replace all of that element that is touching with the new one. Sometimes I have an outline of an element that is either perfect or have certain elements inside like photon or neutron which sometimes clear when drawn over by a different element.

Like you have a pile of stone, and you hold R down and click on the stone with plutonium or something and it turns all that stone into plutonium. Other piles of stone not connected to that one are unaffected,

So what do you guys think? Would it be nice to have a replace tool?

you surround it with dmnd or something, hold ctrl and shift while deleting the inferior element, then fill it with the new one. easy enough to avoid the coding the mods would have to do. but it might be nice :)

Well, its on my keyboard. And Neospector is right. I accidentally hit a key, and it came up with replace mode. Must have been the Insert key.

    You have a Mac then.
There, another reason why PCs are better.
There was talk of changing it so Mac users could have the tool as well, and it's very simple to change it, so they might do so.

The Insert key is the key next to the Delete and pause key. Top right of your keyboard to the left of the numpad.
