Is it possible...?

    Well I was reading about how Japan's power plants corroded in sea water. So I wanted to simulate that on TPT. Problem is, IRON melts at about 1500 degrees, way too cold for a reaction! So how, using console or anything else, would I be able to make a functioning IRON nuclear reactor? Or is it not possible?

    In theory, yes.
    I believe its possible.
    I would love to see your results.

    @Neospector
    IRON cannot (as far as I know of) be modified to melt at higher temperatures, BUT, SPRK cannot melt, so, if you create SPRK with a ctype of IRON, the IRON will only melt when SPRK's kife reaches zero, so you can set how long it takes to melt and corrode.

    OR

    You can shield the iron with INSL and DMND, change its life value, when the life reaches zero it will dissipate, so set the life to a value so the the INSL and DMND disappear after the IRON corrodes.

    ??? you can use shld (sort of metal isnt it?)
    also you can use hswc as insolator (not burn)
    reactors havnt diamonds as walls

    EDIT: i really dont know how i forgot this : BTRY melts at plasma temperature

    Bump. No, not really possible. The reaction of the neutrons in PLUT causes even dead GOL particles to not cool it fast enough. My prototype was blown to bits of metal and iron.
    By the way,
    @itubee
    I wanted it to be able to rust
    @code1949
    I meant in the code

    How do you make iron in console anyways?

    Set type metl iron
