Oxygen Behaviour Change Suggestion

I'm suggesting a slight change in the behaviour of oxygen. First off, I'd like to make it clear that I still believe oxygen should burn(increasing SIZE of fire), and I am not suggesting you change this. What I am suggesting is that when a pixel oxygen comes in contact with a pixel of fire first the oxygen will turn into fire(as usual), but unlike usual it will raise the temperature of pixel of fire it touched by a certain number(maybe something between 20K-50K), and then it will assume that temperature.

For example, let's first assume we use 20 as the increase rate, if a pixel of oxygen touched a pixel of fire burning at 1195.15K(922.0 C), the oxygen would first turn to fire. Then the pixel of fire's temperature would become 1215.15K, finally the pixel of fire that was oxygen, will become 1215.15K.

    Any questions please ask.

so the temp of the fire depends on how many oxygen's there are around it? +1

Sounds like a good idea with a bit of tweaking, I certainly think that an 'oxygen fire' should be hot enough to melt Metal and Brick

Pretty much, it just increases the temperature the way it does in real life. This will be great for building welding torches, and controlling the temperature of a flame.

Thanks, this is just a rough outline(as you can tell from the lack of specifics), but after a bit of testing temperature wise it would be a great addition to the game(and not hard to program).

yes, welding tourches of such will be much more better if this was done, bunson burners too. +googleplex

This would really come in handy to make Torches. +[large number]

    I like this idea!

Image much more powerful flamethrowers... Ones that are capable of burning down that bunker...

Yes! And maybe it wouldn't turn into plasma at high temp. to make high power fts. (Flamethrowers)
