I'm suggesting a slight change in the behaviour of oxygen. First off, I'd like to make it clear that I still believe oxygen should burn(increasing SIZE of fire), and I am not suggesting you change this. What I am suggesting is that when a pixel oxygen comes in contact with a pixel of fire first the oxygen will turn into fire(as usual), but unlike usual it will raise the temperature of pixel of fire it touched by a certain number(maybe something between 20K-50K), and then it will assume that temperature.
For example, let's first assume we use 20 as the increase rate, if a pixel of oxygen touched a pixel of fire burning at 1195.15K(922.0 C), the oxygen would first turn to fire. Then the pixel of fire's temperature would become 1215.15K, finally the pixel of fire that was oxygen, will become 1215.15K.
therocketeer Pretty much, it just increases the temperature the way it does in real life. This will be great for building welding torches, and controlling the temperature of a flame.
Simon Thanks, this is just a rough outline(as you can tell from the lack of specifics), but after a bit of testing temperature wise it would be a great addition to the game(and not hard to program).
