Question about releasing a fixed mod

So recently, I fixed the Rocket Fuel Mod 0.14 by cccp3 on Jacob1's mod script manager, I want to release this on that menu thing, so I asked the person who created it, but from what I'm seeing, he's no longer active on TPT.

Would it be ok to release with credit and stuff like that? Cheers.

(sorry if this is the wrong topic, I wasn't too sure on where to post this)

You can submit an update to the original script: https://starcatcher.us/scripts/paste.lua?edit=39

Just add a changelog. It isn't a big deal that it isn't your script, because the author is inactive.

What is the problem with the script? There are many low-quality scripts on the server, because I usually just check to make sure they run and nothing else. At some point I will likely go through and organize it all, either deleting or marking the low quality ones.

I'm not too new to Lua, but I am new to the TPT Lua API, I mostly changed random bits and bobs until I figured a fix without changing it's functionality and eventually started researching some stuff, eventually got the problem fixed.

The actual problem is that it would print things along the lines of "Particle does not exist" once set on fire (this happened one line into an element update function using elem_func) I can post a small bit of code that was broken, where the error was occuring in that code and my guess on why it happened based on my understanding so far.

I'll get it updated on the script library thingy you linked, thanks for your help!
