strange CPU utilisation

Thankfully, what I am about to complain about is relatively rare, but still. It happens occasionally that my TPT just drops to about 15 FPS or so and suddenly starts using my CPU like you wouldnt believe it.

It could just be my system thats going bonkers on me, but just to be sure I thought I would post it here for the devs to see.

Without any instructions to replicate the issue, I guess it'll keep being something the devs see... but not fix.

The only thing that comes to mind is an air simulation issue that presents itself when pressure levels are almost 0 but not exactly 0... jacob fixed that though. Next time your system goes bonkers like that, try disabling air simulation and report back.

Well, the only piece of additional information I have (which could be exactly what you said) Is that these issues really only happened if I had forgotten about TPT and just left it open, mostly with AHeat on and after an explosion or while a safe was running.

So, it might very well be that issue.

As for me not really providing any instructions to replicate it:
I simply cant. I have no idea what causes it.

That's alright, I can relate. Just try turning features on and off next time it happens to narrow the list of possible causes down a bit.

What OS are you using? I think this can also depend on what CPU you have. It should already be fixed since 92.0, though.

Maybe the problem also applies to ambient heat?

Yeah but I'm calling a function now to prevent it from using denormal floating point numbers

So, the last time I encountered that problem was with my FX 9590.

Since then I have not encountered it anymore, and the OS was Windows 7.

I guess it could have been the CPU.

    The 9590 was an oddball.

Have you gotten this problem since updating to TPT 92.0? Or have you not gotten the problem in a month
