Is there a way to contact the developers

I believe I found a pirated version of TPT on the iOS App Store being sold for $1.99. I'd like to contact the developers about this, but I can't find their email or any way to contact them. If anyone knows how, that would be a huge help. Thanks!

I already know about it. There's not really anything I can do. Powder toy is open source, and licensed under GPL. So anyone can do almost anything they want with the source code (including selling it), as long as they provide the modified source code.

I think the listing also says in caps that he is not affiliated with the developers of powder toy.

I would have gladly assisted with the port, I can't make iOS apps on my own. But that app isn't the best quality, some ugly hacks were made to make certain things work. It's also out of date now. But I don't want it gone, it's the only version of Powder Toy available on iOS. He probably deserves a little money for the porting work, even if he didn't tell us he was doing it at all like he should have.

I still think it's kind of unfair that someone has copied free game, changed it a little bit and makes money on it.

They made a derivative work. Under the GPL, they have to release the source code. Also, GPL stuff can't be put onto the App Store at all. The App Store imposes additional restrictions (stuff like DRM), which is not allowed under the GPL.

See this link for additional details

If you hate it that much, you could always report the app...
