You're right and wrong. Gamma rays are no more or less 'quantum' than any other form of energy, they are just light of a colour which we can't see and which shines straight through most materials. Neither ELEC nor PHOT represent them well, PROT or zero-tmp GRVT would work better.

I would describe Gamma Rays as 'Quantum energy'. It must have a mass, because E=MC^2 but it behaves wave-like only. So the Young-Experiment wouldn't work with Gamma-Rays. It has only a practical reason that i used electrons for the Gamma-Rays. It's easier to form a wave with electrons than with photons.

Yeah gamma rays are still photons. You even say electromagnetic, which means exactly that. Why do you use electrons to represent it?

From the metal being "excited" or something, i cant remind myself how exactly xray generator works, but xray radiation is light, just higher frquency, gamma rays are even higher. Light is photons.

@Heyman: Yeah, i'm actually little short on time. @NoVIcE: Here we're again... is it a wave or a particle... For Example: In a X-Ray tube, a target-material is 'bombarded' with electrons, the decelerated electrons are emitting the energy... where should photons come from here?

Gamma rays should be phot. Because electromagnetic energy is, light, photons. I thought you can protect from gamma rays with 1m of dirt, concrete and lead or something? You cant stop it but you can lower the amount to a billionth for example.
