    I accidentally found this out while making my DEUT synthesizer,but it was only for tmp and was harder to replicate

    Well, the elements are just code for the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. It's actually simpler than it seems.

    ctype determines whats inside the pipe not the color

    zapper49 and MEOWS you have to set the pipe color in order for it to work.

    completely non revolutionary and useless, because it no longer functions as pipe, like MEOWS explained... Downvoted :)

    Further experimenation has revealed that this ctype changing technique breaks the pipes. Pipe naturally moves elements form red=>green=>blue=>red so changing the ctype screws up the pipe order and the fluid randomly diffuses through the one solid colour and is never pushed anywhere. You can make your own pipes by layering the different colours
