A "fizzle" is where a nuke blows itself apart before completely reacting, severely decreasing it's explosive yeild. In TPT, a similar effect can occur with DEUT and PLUT bombs which are improperly contained.

    @Sentric That is actually true due to the amount of compressed DEUT with life left and often times my console compressed DEUT bomb will reach the pixel limit so it does not reach full potential in it's full blast, but it gets it's chance to cover the map with (Probably) hot DEUT, thus shrinking the distance away from the explosion.

    There are other factors, too. I've observed, when testing my own bombs, that the distance between bomb and target can affect the quality of the explosion.

    sometimes depending on the situation if the deut is console compressed with a life command having some deut spill onto a bunker than having "secondary" explosions can yield in more effective damage
