    Tera, or terra, in latin actually means "earth", or "ground." So this says "island ground", or "island earth."

    "Tera" in traditional sanskrit meant heaven, so translated the title would read "Island of Heaven: Floating Islands"

    @idon Yes, that's a good idea, but I'm just happy he knew "terra" in the first place, because the intelligence of our kind is diminishing rapidly.

    @ROHANman the islands could be called tera because they cost 1 trillion dollars, or because they were named after pteradactyl (renamed teradactyl in the future for some reason) because pteradactyls can fly and so can this.

    No no no... Not Isla Tera. That's not even how you spell tera, it's 'terra'. Also, they're floating islands, and hence should be called Isla Aera.
