WATR Water

Description: "Conducts electricity, freezes, and extinguishes fires."

Spawn temperature: +22.00 Celsius \ 295.15 Kelvin.

Hex triplet colour: #2030d0 (mild light blue).

Element properties

Water evaporates to water vapour at temperatures ≥ [+99.86 + 2P] C \ [373.01 + 2P] K .

Water freezes to ice or snow, both of ctype WATR, if at temperatures ≤ than -0.01 C \ 273.14 K, into ice if the pressure is ≤ +0.79, or snow if the pressure is ≥ +0.80.

General information

Is a product of distilled water and most powders and liquids, with a slow but existent capacity to conduct electricity.

Ignites (solid) rubidium and liquid rubidium if in contact with them, but also extinguishes fire.

Distilled water will turn to water if other water is in contact with it. Similarly, water will turn to saltwater if in contact with it.

Neutron reactions

Water becomes distilled water if bombarded with neutrons.

Neutrons will travel in water and convert water to distilled water, but will be slowed down and eventually it will either get terminated by the water or (if present) materials that absorb neutrons.

Known water reactions

Some water reactions:

  • WATR.png + SALT.pngSLTW.png
  • WATR.png + LRBD.png/RBDM.pngFIRE.png
  • WATR.png + FIRE.pngWATR.png (Unless the FIRE has ctype of WATR)
  • WATR.png + SLTW.png → 2SLTW.png

Other element reactions involving water:

  • CO2.png + WATR.png/DSTW.pngBUBW.png
  • BOYL.png + WATR.pngFOG.png
  • DSTW.png + WATR.png → 2WATR.png
  • FRZW.png + WATR.png → 2FRZW.png
  • FRZZ.png + WATR.pngFRZW.png (occurs less often if the WATR is warmer)
  • IRON.png + WATR.pngBMTL.png[tmp=1] + WATR.png
  • SPNG.png + WATR.pngSPNG.png[life = +1] (If life < 50 and temp < 100.85 C \ 374 K)
  • GEL.png + WATR.pngGEL.png[tmp = +1] (If temp < 100 C \ 373.15 K)
  • GLOW.png + WATR.pngDEUT.png
  • CLST.png + WATR.pngPSTE.png
  • ELEC.png + WATR.pngELEC.png + OXYG.png + HYGN.png
  • PLNT.png + WATR.png → 2PLNT.png
  • NEUT.png + WATR.pngNEUT.png + DSTW.png

Some reactions that create water:

  • BUBW.pngCO2.png[ctype STNE] + WATR.png (BUBW spontaneously 'decays' this way with time)
  • BOYL.png + OXYG.pngWATR.png
  • RIME.pngWATR.png (if temp > 0 C \ 273.14 K)
  • SPNG.pngSPNG.png[life = -1] + WATR.png
  • HYGN.png(pressure > 8) + DESL.pngWATR.png + OIL.png (this rarely occurs because DESL ignites at pressures > 5)
