WATR represents the water in real life. It will boil into WTRV at temperatures above 99.85°C and freeze into ICE at temperatures below 0°C. The ICE may immediately turn into SNOW under enough pressure, which can also affect temperatures (lower pressure makes water more prone to evaporate, for example). Water vapor, when immediately cooled to temperatures below 0°C, will skip the liquid phase and turn into RIME.

Water has several different variants: BUBW, SLTW (WATR combined with salt), FRZW and DSTW.

Water conducts electricity, but does so slower than most other conductors. It also takes longer for water to be able to conduct electricity again. SLTW conducts slightly faster, DSTW not at all.

DSTW will turn into WATR if other WATR is nearby. Similarly WATR will turn into SLTW if some is nearby.

WATR will extinguish FIRE, and set off RBDM and LRBD. It will turn into DSTW when bombarded with neutrons.

Water's Reactions

  • WATR.png + SALT.png -> SLTW.png
  • WATR.png + LRBD.png/RBDM.png -> FIRE.png
  • WATR.png + FIRE.png -> WATR.png (Unless the FIRE has ctype=water)
  • WATR.png + SLTW.png -> 2SLTW.png

Other Elements' Reactions

  • CO2.png + WATR.png/DSTW.png -> BUBW.png
  • BOYL.png + WATR.png -> FOG.png
  • DSTW.png + WATR.png -> 2WATR.png
  • FRZW.png + WATR.png -> 2FRZW.png
  • FRZZ.png + WATR.png -> FRZW.png (FRZZ usually melts into water before this can happen)
  • IRON.png + WATR.png -> BMTL.png(tmp=1) + WATR.png
  • SPNG.png + WATR.png -> SPNG.png(life +1) (If life < 50 and temp < 100.85)
  • GEL.png + WATR.png -> GEL.png(life +1) (If tmp < 100)
  • GLOW.png + WATR.png -> DEUT.png
  • CLST.png + WATR.png -> PSTE.png
  • ELEC.png + WATR.png -> ELEC.png + OXYG.png + HYGN.png
  • PLNT.png + WATR.png -> 2PLNT.png
  • NEUT.png + WATR.png -> NEUT.png + DSTW.png

Creation

  • BUBW.png -> CO2.png + WATR.png
  • BOYL.png + OXYG.png -> WATR.png
  • RIME.png -> WATR.png (if temp > 0°C)
  • SPNG.png -> SPNG.png(life -1) + WATR.png
  • HYGN.png(pressure > 8) + DESL.png -> WATR.png + OIL.png (This rarely occurs because DESL explodes at pressures above 5)
