    Properties

Trinitrotoluene (abbreviated TNT) is a relatively hot burning pressure explosive. It explodes into SMKE and shrapnel of EMBR for effect. Upon ignition, the smoke is almost instantaneously converted into FIRE because of the heat. TNT explodes at around 8.00 pressure and between 600 to 4500°c depending on where you measure the reading. The mean explosion temperature is ≈1080°c, so it is possible to melt things with the flame created by the explosion.

    Uses and applications

    Bombs, demolition simulations; conventional pyrotechnics
