I know algorythm of movable solids!

    ok, not to be mean, but have you heard what the mods and devs (developers) have been saying? moving solids will not be added sometime now.

    The spelling in this thread is horrid. Algorythm? Partical? My god...

    Anyway... it's not nearly that simple. Even with an algorithm, proper moving solids would require the blocks of particles to be animated as a whole(due to the fact that individual particles can't be turned on an angle).

    If you mean like boats that float or whole objects that fall but stay together I'm afraid its unlikely!
    I know for example OE Cake can do it but that's a different engine, not as in a couple of tweaks I mean completely rewriting Powdertoy!
    I mean it would be starting from scratch, I wouldn't be surprised if saves were completely incompatible. In Powder Toy I (believe- this a very educated assumption- select the smallest pen and draw stone or another powder in the same spot, look at the way it gathers, kinda obvious) everything runs on a grid- moving objects would need that to be completely edited.

    Yeah, I dont even want moving solids. They would break to much.
    Also thats no algorthim. Thats a postulate. An Idea.

    Yes, the devs at Octave Engine, spent years trying to create "solids" that would stay together. They still need to fix the bug where particles go though solids. And face it, they only have 12 particles to choose from, compared to PT. Ya, don't think thats happening! (Sorry not to be rude or anything ;) )

    Almost a necro, dude.

    To make it simple, using floodfill and etc to figure what particles are touching makes sense and all on paper, but the chief issue is that it just doesn't work well with falling sand cellular automata.
