    I mean every time i run powder toy, after shutting down my PC it closes and well the trojan pops up.

    I hope you are right about that tpt does not contain trojan or virus

    Yeah, My computer didn't like TPT as well and norton quarentined Jacob1's mod because it looks nearly identical to TPT and was slightly different so norton thought it was a trojan hiding inside a new TPT file.

     This has already been resolved by jacob1 and others that TPT has no viruses.

    Interesting ... that's really annoying if it does that. I've heard Norton is an overly protective antivirus to the point where it stops a lot of legitimate things though

    Not much I can do about it. My mod definitely does look nearly identical to TPT with some changes.

    You know, TPT should have a public SHA256 checksum.

    Not that it would really be needed, but it would be an (easy) added layer of reassurance.

    Or even better, GPG-signed builds.

    Ok it seems the problem is gone.

    Something strange: after i downloaded an lua script into powder toy, the problem started

    When i deleted it it still happened but after a while it stopped

     Some lua scripts can cause viruses actually.

    Ah.. then THAT was the reason the problem started

    What Lua script did you download?

    @NUCLEAR_FOX (View Post)
    While true (and you should be very cautious running Lua scripts), I've only seen one that actually had a virus (a backdoor), and that was just a test to see if anyone would notice, it was quickly removed.

    But there are some that do really annoying things to TPT, and may freeze or crash the game because they aren't very well coded.
