    Supercharazard:

    This way, we get a nice turnover, and we get less people saying "Art on front pagez? SUCKZORZ!" because they know that the person got it fair and square. It also involves the community a bit more than the current system (Which is basically what the mods like)

    This is basically how it already works. A system where saves end up on the front page but then can't be voted on would only get filled with crappy things, since generally users downvote saves to remove them if they don't have any business being there.

    The current system actually has barely any moderator influence. The most we ever do is occasionally pin saves that go on the front page, but those appear in the top-left corner, while saves that appear due to votes and being comparitively recent appear from the bottom left.

    ...In other words, we don't do anything with the front page but remove stuff like kill justin beiber saves o_o;;; The stuff that's good enough to end up there, we don't generally need to add it to the front page. It gets there. By itself o___o;;;

    ...And the only dude so far I've seen to complain about there being too much pixel art is ven1x. I locked his thread on the subject because frankly I was insulted, since people actually put a lot of work into their pixel art.

    Oh, I thought Moderators actually handpicked saves for the front page. How exactly does the front page system work then? It's not most votes overall, like the second page, or it would be the same almost permanently.

    Is is most votes within the past day or something?

    Also, most of the art on the front page is pretty annoying. It looks alright, but there's nothing you can DO with it, it's just there.

    Well sure, but honestly if people were making cool stuff you could DO things with, it'd already be up there. It's a community issue with creativity, nothing we can do about it. And besides, most of this pixel art actually takes a lot of work and insight to create.

    The front page shows the saves with the highest votes from the past week.
