I use fire, pressure and heat mostly. Occasionally velocity for better visualizations of air streams.

    Here iss order i use them in,with 1=most 5=least:

    1 fire
    2 pressure
    3 velocity
    4 persistance
    5 heat

They should make a backround that has no colors that should be called normal or plain or something like that.

I just use the simple view. However, I do check many of the views when I do cool stuff. Also, Blob is an awesome view.

Blob does not have that much functionality, it is hard to see particles in detail and does not provide any extra info, like pressure, heat or air/particle flow...
But blob can look cool for explosions and nuclear reactions.

    1. wind
    2. heat
    3. fire
    4. the rest

heat would be lovely if it had a better contrast in the cool zone. I made a thread with that, if you include green in the color scales, that would help a lot.

Fire and plasma look really cool for "art" in persistent mode. So does gas. But other than that, can't really think of a use for it.

    Fire is the plain mode.

As in completely plain. No special effects like glow, or pressure.
