    Basically, It's like a thing with many servers you can connect to and each server has a lot of channels you can join. channels are like chatting rooms or group chats, you can send a message there so that other online users can see it and you can read other messages people have sent.

    We have an IRC channel for TPT called #powder which is in the freenode server (a popular server with many developers and programmers).

    You can get there even without having to download anything or creating an account, just got to https://webchat.freenode.net enter a nick and #powder as the channel name.

    Just read everything in the bottom buttons, I didn't say anything about using colours yet :P
