    Element is "Liquid Crystal" at the moment it's a toggle (NSCN to discharge, PSCN to charge) I don't know whether it's better to be toggle or non-toggle.

    if you mean that you only have to spark it once with PSCN to illuminate it and spark it once with NSCN to return it to normal than yes, I think the toggle will be better than a continuous current. If a current has to be constantly applied to the LCD element to illuminate it, wouldn't all the glowing wires supplying it make LCD obsolete?

    BTW will LCD be incorporated into 39.0?
    And just possibly, could that green element, second from the left, be BATTERY?! if your mind isn't made up yet, please incorporate it into 39.0! it would be an absolute lifesaver at times. In fact i often now choose to use the circuit from the driver in your (Simon's) dot matrix, to provide a continuous current that can be turned on and off.
